Why the software landscape in franchising needs to change and why we're here to make it happen.

Introduction

The franchise industry has two primary problems with its software.

First, the value proposition for software vendors is not clear and easily understandable, without years of experience in franchising systems (both the actual structures and the technology used within them) it is extremely difficult to create software that will work with the frightening amount of variables involved.

Second, the software tools that exist today are complicated, expensive and difficult to use. Often Franchisors have to make significant compromises in order to use those systems. This can result in a loss of control within the system and a loss of value to the business.

The software industry has changed.

Franchising is a dynamic industry, and the software that supports it needs to change with the times. This isn’t a new problem: technology has changed dramatically in recent years, but most franchising software hasn't come close to keeping up.

While the technical bar to creating software has reduced significantly in the last 10 years, we have seen few innovations in the franchising industry. Most franchising software is still based on legacy technology, and it’s no longer adequate for today's needs. Software is the backbone of any modern business.
